Given scheduling of work and new comic releases, sometimes there isn’t enough time to do a full review. BUT there are still great books and moments to talk about in bite sized chunks, so I will be introducing a new blog in the form of, Panel of the Month!
And this months lucky choice is:
Black Panther: Intergalactic #2

I don’t have enough words to describe how much this line made me howl with laughter. The absurdity of the name, the look on T’Challa’s mask as he realizes that his further space adventures are about to be utter nonsense and the sheer bafflement of the clones existence makes a perfect bow on this present of a reveal. And since I am all for context, the panel preceding it:

Unlike Miles Morales and Odin’s Fade, Otto Blacktavius echoes back to the days of Christopher Priest’s Black Panther run where action and hilarity regularly met during T’Challa’s adventures. Victor LaValle, Stefano Nesi, Bryan Valenza and Ariana Maher absolutely composed these panels with maximum humor in mind and they pulled it off to perfection.
